The SatLink Enterprise Hub is a complete system for DVB-RCS networks with DVB-S2 and DVB-S forward link support. Optimized for IP networking via satellite it offers versatility and scalability. With capacity for 500 VSATs in its baseline configuration, plus growth potential up to 4 non-redundant forward links and thousands of VSATs it is ideal for private networks, small ISPs and special purpose deployments. Redundancy for key components is offered according to user requirements. The Enterprise Hub may be upgraded to the SatLink Carrier-Class Hub offering system-wide high-availability and massive scalability. See datasheet below .
The SatLink Enterprise Hub is a member of a family of SatLink products and systems from STM enabling scalable, high-availability DVB-RCS networks optimized for Internet Protocol (IP) communications, including: VSATs, turnkey hub and gateway systems, hub components, and value-added options for advanced data, voice and video networking via satellite. STM is the technology and market leader in DVB-RCS satellite networks delivering superior performance for telecom service providers, ISPs, governments and enterprises around the world. STM also offers Global Teleport Services , installation and integration services, plus total managed network services.

Bandwidth Efficiency at Many Levels
Beyond the superior efficiency of DVB-S2 forward links, SatLink offers: return channel spacing down to 1.2x, header compression, section packing, advanced MF-TDMA resource control and VSAT capacity request methods, plus extensive bandwidth management tools assuring no wasted resources in the network.
Comprehensive IP Networking Features
SatLink hubs integrate full-featured IP routing, network acceleration, VPN tunneling, and VLANs, plus other value-added functions per request. margins to mitigate rain fades.
Advanced Traffic Shaping with QoS
Advanced traffic shaping on forward links gives added benefit for delay or jitter sensitive applications like VoIP, video conferencing, streaming or critical data.
Industry-Leading RLS & FLS
Fully integrated Forward Link and Return Link Systems deliver many further cost and operational benefits, including: larger TDMA Carrier Groups, space and power savings, custom framing and custom Carrier Group configurations for highly optimized mesh and star topology configurations.

Small Footprint, Low Power, Low Cost
Entire hub fits within a single 20 RU rack and is easily powered by portable generators, thus is cost-effective for small networks and portable deployments.
ACM and Rain Fade Mitigation
Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) on forward links and adaptive FEC and symbol rate on return links increase bandwidth efficiency and improves link margins to mitigate rain fades.
Traffic Engineering with VSAT Groups
SatLink enables traffic engineering and effective hub sharing by controlling bandwidth consumption and QoS policy by VSAT Group.
Multi-Beam & Multi-Band Scalability
Support for multiple beams, across multiple satellites on multiple bands (C, Ku, Ka, EHF), including cross- strapped transponders, adds versatility and scalability.
Industry-Leading NMS & NCC
STM’s database-driven NMS & NCC software optimizes network performance and VSAT provisioning with ease of use, supporting both star and mesh topologies.
