Overview

The SOLANTE Voice/Online handles a combination of voice and data within the same satellite channel. STM’s MF-TDMA technology accommodates the best use of different rates according to the application. Each SOLANTE Voice/Online carrier has a channel rate of 40 Kbps, transporting up to four data and/or voice channels. See datasheet below . Gateway Terminal Unit — GTU

The GTU makes use of the same multi-channel technology and modularity of the RTU, but with larger scalability. STM’s COMF-TDMA technology allows a large number of channels to be aggregated at a gateway location. This translates to less rack space, a small footprint and low power consumption. Up to 32 channels fit into a 19 inch, 5U shelf.
