S-ODU

Solante S-ODU P.jpg

Overview

STM’s SOLANTE multi-channel S-ODU is a cost-effective, reliable and extremely rugged satellite terminal designed specifically for rural telephony applications. State-of-theart digital signal processing (DSP), SLIC, and RFIC technology dramatically reduces its size, weight, and power consumption. No other technology offers the cost and performance on a per-channel basis of the SOLANTE S-ODU. See datasheet below.

Up to eight channels per unit and up to two units can be mounted to the same antenna pole. The S-ODU can be remotely adjusted to “sleep” after a programmable period. During this period it saves extra power, but will be ready to “awaken” as soon as the user initiates a voice or data call.
