Allocation A complete channel can be allocated to data at one moment. If a voice call is placed the bandwidth is shared during conversation and then again entirely available to the data channel once the voice conversation ends

Protocols

Fully integrated PSTN protocols including R2 and SS7/C7 ISUP and TUP with many country variants. A complete suite of applications are embedded to the system to support IP, IP-ARP, UDP, TCP, and ICMP

Scalability

Different size terminals can coexist in the same network. A small VSAT with few channels is not constrained to be sized the same as a larger VSAT and multi-gateways.

A solid mechanical design of outdoor units that can survive hostile environments including low power, saltspray, tropical, and extreme temperatures
