Virtual Network Operator (VNO) services are offered for teleport customers that wish to manage many aspects of their own satellite network within a guaranteed bandwidth allocation. This is accomplished using a secure, web-based interface into STM’s primary Network Management System (NMS) at designated teleport(s). The VNO facilities allow these authorized operators to control a variety of configuration details relevant to their own VSATs and to create and receive a number of different reports on the performance and status of their network. In addition, they can completely control adds, moves and changes related to the provisioning of new and current VSATs in their network. Thus, the VNO facilities offer customers the equivalent of their own dedicated NMS into their own virtual hub.

In addition to VNO services, STM offers a broad range of service capabilities based on the international DVB-RCS standard for MF-TDMA networks. Select an option from the menu on the left or click here to learn more. As the only open, multi-vendor supported and official standard for two-way communication via satellite, DVB-RCS is rapidly becoming the system of choice for satellite networking throughout the world due to its many technical and commercial advantages. Using the SatLink system, the industry’s leading DVB-RCS compliant VSAT product line, STM’s service capabilities offer customers a selection of SatLink VSAT options, from very high performance VSATs with mesh networking capabilities to lower-cost VSATs for more modest requirements.
