SuperPico^TM GSM BTS/BSC System for Rural Cellular Applications

SuperPico BSS Controller EX3, advanced picocell technology for rural GSM base stations

STM's SuperPico system employs advanced digital radio technology developed in Norway combined with proven software-defined radio functionality, resulting in a low cost rural GSM solution with advanced picocell technology. Optimized for rural cellular applications, as well as marine and rapid deployments, these small, rugged all-outdoor systems consume less than 35W, yet provide coverage up to 15 km. Turnkey Fiber Systems

STM’s Fiber business unit is growing rapidly with recent and expanding installations in Africa. Inter-city and local fiber links in developing countries are proving increasingly critical for IT in business and government sectors, and for new services in the media sector. STM Fiber is brining this infrastructure with investments in the local labor force, equipment and technologies, thereby accelerating local economic growth.

GSM Cellular Networks

STM’s SuperPico™ GSM basestation products are serving increasing numbers of rural areas, with new installations in Asia and many planned for Africa and developing countries world-wide. Products in all four GSM bands are now available. Applications in other markets, such as maritime and military, are also expanding.

Satellite Networks

STM’s satellite networking business, based on our SatLink® product line continued at a strong pace through 2009 with several large military, commercial and telecom installations in the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.
