STM's SuperPico system employs advanced digital radio technology
developed in Norway combined with proven software-defined radio
functionality, resulting in a low cost rural GSM solution with advanced
picocell technology. Optimized for rural cellular applications, as
well as marine and rapid deployments, these small, rugged all-outdoor
systems consume less than 35W, yet provide coverage up to 15 km. This
results in the lowest power consumption in the industry, per unit of RF
output power. For efficient backhauling of traffic
from remote locations, the SuperPico system can be integrated with
STM's SatLink technology for maximum performance. All GSM bands (850,
900, 1800, and 1900) are supported with voice, SMS, GPRS, and EDGE
